Aokzoe has made a statement confirming the release of their first Ryzen AI 9 HX 370-powered gaming handheld. This is non other their Aokzoe A1X launching with a 72.7 Wh battery and a 120 Hz display. This gaming handheld also supports OCuLink and USB4 connectivity for a choice of eGPU options.
Aokzoe has now confirmed that it will be financing the A1X via Kickstarter. While a preview of the device’s campaign page is now live, Aokzoe has reiterated that the A1X will eventually ship with the following specifications:
- 8-inch native landscape display, 120 Hz refresh rate, VRR support
- AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU
- LPDDR5X-7500 RAM/PCIe 4.0 SSD
- 72.7 Wh battery
- OCuLink and dual USB4 connectivity
On top of all this the A1X will support passthrough charging to limit wear and tear on its battery while gaming and charging at the same time. Another key point to take into account is that the device will be capable of limiting maximum charge limits to as little as 50%. Given how efficient the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has proven in games compared to the Ryzen 7 8840U and Ryzen Z1 Extreme, we think the Aokzoe A1X will achieve longer runtimes than the ROG Ally X. Unfortunately, Aokzoe hasn’t confirmed the pricing.
